Odds are 16/1.
A GOP candidate has not won Iowa since 1968 — 50 years ago.
Online outlet Intrade has the Democratic incumbent as a -16 favorite.
An anonymous conservative financier is purchasing a major poll from Iowa to understand his — quote — “Mr. and Mrs. Average Iowa Voter.”
A full analysis of those numbers — quote — “was essential because we believe Hillary Clinton would be unbeatable if she ran as an Independent and if Bernie Sanders were on the ballot in Michigan and Florida, where the Democrat lost last November and the Republican won.”
Much of the debate in Washington has focused on the FBI’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email probe — when she was secretary of state.
However, it turns out — one of the bureau’s own agents criticized her email practices while on the job.
Congressman Trey Gowdy — known for his investigation into the Benghazi attacks — has been asking the FBI to turn over a letter Inspector General Michael Horowitz sent back in May.
That came on the heels of a controversial interview between Hillary Clinton and James Comey on her personal email server.
The IG’s letter to her was the first time Horowitz confirmed the existence of his team’s Benghazi investigation — as well as an internal investigation into a separate Clinton-related issue.
It read in part — quote — “You authorized representatives of the State Department to circumvent the chain of command in order to discuss your email situation with you directly, and you advised that an official in the Situation Room called her personal cell phone to let her know that your private email account had been discovered.”
FBI Director James Comey says he thought it was relevant to clear Hillary Clinton.
Four State Department officials are being prosecuted for their roles in handling sensitive documents on Hillary Clinton’s private email server.
An FBI spokesperson says the IG’s report is part of its routine review — of ongoing issues and has to be overseen by management.
